How to evaluate the quality of an LED display?

What are the yardsticks to evaluate the quality of an LED screen display?

1. Led display flatness: The surface flatness of LED Display should be within ±1 mm, to ensure the display image is not deformed, unevenness of LED display will cause blind viewing angle for some parts of LED screens. LED Display flatness say a lot about workmanship.

2. Brightness and viewing angle: Brightness of indoor LED display usually is more than 1000 nits, outdoor led display brightness is usually more than 2000 nits, which ensure the LED Display work properly. otherwise, the LED Display image can not be seeable outside. LED Display brightness is mainly depending on the LED Chip quality.

The Viewing angle is the maximum angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance. Therefore the bigger the viewing angle, the wider the range from which the display will be viewed from. LED encapsulation directly influence the size of the viewing angle.

3. Led display white balance performance: White balance (WB) is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects which appear white in person are rendered white in your photo. Proper camera white balance has to take into account the "color temperature" of a light source, which refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light. Our eyes are very good at judging what is white under different light sources, but digital cameras often have great difficulty with auto white balance (AWB) — and can create unsightly blue, orange, or even green color casts. Understanding digital white balance can help you avoid these color casts, thereby improving your photos under a wider range of lighting conditions. white balance is one of the most important indicators of LED display. The quality of the white balance is mainly determined by the LED display control system, the LED Chip quality also influence the color reducibility.

4. Mosaic: Mosaic is the phenomenon of a small area of the LED Display is always  on or always off. The main reason is the quality of a flat cable connector is not in good condition.

Dead pixel is the disfunctional LED lamp of LED display which is always on or off. The malfunction rate is an important yardstick to evaluate the quality of an LED display, which mainly depends on the quality LED chip .

5. Color difference: It’s refers to there is obvious color differences between the adjacent LED modules. The color differences phenomenon is caused by the poor quality Led display control system ,low gray scale and low scanning frequency.
